Synopsis:

The battle against the dark villains begins to turn for the better, as Alex Montez wrests Eclipso's power from him and uses it to end the worldwide eclipse. On Gemworld, Dove and her JSA allies free the soul of Arion, who wishes to pass on to the afterlife. He tells Power Girl that he is not her grandfather, but she will soon learn the truth from her mother He also tells the that Mordru will be weakened as he passes through his body, in the dark lord's possession, on the way to the after-life - this is when they should strike. Jakeem Thunder, restored to health by Doctor Mid-Nite, is able to imprison Mordru within the pen which also houses the thunderbolt. This also frees the Starheart, which is returned to Sentinel in the form of his ring. Using his newly returned power, he is able to strip the darkness from his son, Obsidian. But matters are still not over. The earth is shaking itself apart, and Sand must dive into its core to stabilize it; he may not be coming back. And Mordru is able to escape his confinement, but finds himself confronted by Doctor Fate, also freed.
