Comment(s):

The statues of Superman's ancestors Tala-El, Gam-El, Hatu-El, Sul-El and Val-El first appeared in Adventure Comics #313/2.
A family tree of the House of El is included in issue #3.
The story of Val-Lor and the Vrang occupation of Krypton was first presented in Superman Vol. 1 #176/3 (April 1965): "Superman's Day of Truth!"
Usk-Mar's astronomers reference stories of ancient Krypton (prior to the year 6819) with a story about "the winged man with the exploding feathers" from Superman Vol. 1 #251/3 (May 1972): "The Day Krypton Didn't Die" by Elliot S. Maggin and Rich Buckler, and "the tale of Krypton being settled by explorers from space" from Superman Vol. 1 #238/2 (June 1971): "A Name Is Born" by Cary Bates and Gray Morrow.
