HISTORY

Known to history as "Gam-El the Architect," Gam-El was responsible for the reconstruction of Kryptonopolis which had been destroyed in the Last War. From 9873-9874 (Kryptonian calendar) he gathered support for the project, despite the opposition and sabotage of Kly-Anth, a wealthy property owner in Kandor. Though Gam-El was not successful in moving the capital of Krypton from Kandor to Kryptonopolis, he still considered the reconstruction his greatest achievement.

Statues of Gam-El and other noted members of the House of El are kept in the El Family Vault on Rokyn. Gam-El's story is retold via mind-tapes built into the statues. Another, incomplete, set of statues had been found by Superboy, but had been turned to kryptonite. [2] [3] [4]
