Synopsis:

The detectives from both shifts of the Major Crimes Unit work together to track down Mister Freeze, the killer of Detective Charlie Fields. All of their leads come to dead ends, until Detective Driver connects something which Freeze said to him with the events of tonight. Reluctantly, the police must call in Batman, for they fear that the criminal is going to attack a major target within the next few hours. The detectives and the quick response team all get into position, but it is Batman who finds and defeats Freeze, preventing him from gatecrashing the ceremony at which James Gordon is given an honorary degree in criminology from Gotham State University. The killer is caught, but somehow, particularly for Driver, this is not enough.
