Synopsis:

Stacy, the civilian who works for the Major Crimes Unit, writes to her friend Meg about what her job is like, and about the crush she has on Batman, despite having only glimpsed him a few times. She tells Meg of the camaraderie among the detectives in the unit, about the highs of their lives and the lows, such as Marcus Driver testifying at Mister Freeze's trial, knowing that Freeze will get off likely, being sent to Arkham with the other 'freaks'. She tells Meg about the Sarge's need to tie up the loose end of a recent case, the loose end being a missing corpse which has been used in a 'house of horrors' exhibit. And she remembers Commissioner Gordon, a man she really respected before he retired.
