Synopsis: - The Martian Manhunter's fear of fire has been cured by his stay with Scorch, and although Superman is happy for his friend, he is still suspicious of Scorch. Across the nation, many villains, assassins and criminals are suddenly overcome with a great sense of regret and remorse, many of them considering suicide. President Luthor is in a catatonic state. The League surmise that this must be the work of a telepath and call the Martian Manhunter back from his vacation; he awakens Lex Luthor, much to the anger of an as-yet unrevealed being. Meanwhile, on the moon, Firestorm is ambushed by something.
