Comment(s):

As Superman is thrown around in Hypertime he appears in one-page shots referencing various eras and events of his 80 year comic book history, with Superman himself appearing as the Superman of those eras, spanning from the Golden Age to the present and also including references to movies, and live action and animated tv series.
Among the references are Action Comics Vol. 1 #40-42, Superman Vol. 1 #102 (1956), Superman Vol. 1 #132 (1961), The Dark Knight Returns, The Reign of Superman (1993), Kingdom Come (1996), Superman: The Animated Series. Not all of it is straight up references as the S-shield in one shot for instance reference the Fleisher animated series whereas the scene itself references an old Action Comics cover.
