OVERVIEW
The planet Pluto is 39.5 AU from the sun, with a sidereal revolution of 249 years and a rotation period ("day") of 6.39 hours. Its orbit is more titled and eccentric relative to the other planets in the solar system, at times bringing the planet closer to the sun than its nearest planetary neighbor, Neptune.
Pluto's moons Nix and Hydra orbit at 27,000 miles, more than twice as far as the moon Charon.
The planet is named for the Roman god of death, Pluto.
HISTORY
By the 853rd Century, Pluto became the Solar System's version of Arkham Asylum. and home to that era's Batman.
