HISTORY
Okaara is the thirteenth world in the Vegan System.
Billions of years ago the treasure hunter known as Larfleeze had stolen a number of items from the Guardian of the Universe, including an ancient map that once belonged to the Guardian of the Universe known as Krona. The map would lead him to Okaara where he would find the orange light of avarice in the form of the Orange Lantern Central Power Battery. The Guardians had followed him to the planet as one of the other items was a box containing the entity known as Parallax, which was so important to them that they made a deal with Larfleeze to let him keep the Orange Lantern and the Vegan System, free from their interference as long as Larfleeze kept the lantern in that system in exchange for the box.
The natives of the planet were unaware of this and lived their lives in harmony on the peaceful and pollution-free planet. They lived so peacefully that there was no need for government or leaders of any kind. Their technological advancements had made human labor unnecessary. This peace was to come to an end when the Psions arrived on Okaara in their constant quest for knowledge. Here they were greeted by X'Hal, an Okaaran female who was loved by all. X'Hal was only happy to show the visitors Okaara's greatest wonders. Once the Psions were done with their studies they left the planet, leaving X'Hal to wonder what they had done to offend them.
Some time later the Psions would return only to abduct X-Hal for experimentation. After they had left Okaara they had found another planet that was the exact opposite of Okaara, and they found this to be a perfect opportunity to see what would happen if two such opposites were crossbred. Letting Branx Warriors force themselves on X'Hal they eventually succeeded and she would give birth to twins. One would later become known as the First Citadellian and the other as Auron. When a Branx Warrior assaulted and nearly killed X-Hal the Psions placed her in a healing chamber. In their attempts to save her they ended up transforming her into a being of pure energy with vast powers. Using these powers she destroyed the Psions lab and their moon and returned home to Okaara with her two children.
As the First Citadellian grew up he unleashed the dormant aggressions of the Okaarans and the arts of combat. These aggressive Okaarans would in time go on to develop all sorts of weapons and in the end they created and used atomic weapons. The survivors of the nuclear holocaust would seek refuge in the caverns deep beneath the planet surface. For his part in this disaster the First Citadellian was banished from Okaara.
The Okaarans would go on to perfecting their military and weaponry skills believing that if you had to fight to achieve the ultimate goal of peace, you needed to be able to fight to win. The Warlords of Okaara would become rulers of the planet and use their knowledge to teach the children of other planets the arts of warfare and humanity. Okaara is also known for its scholars and artists and houses the largest library of artifacts and written records of the history of the Vegan System anywhere.
The Titan known as Starfire has been trained on Okaara, alongside her sister Blackfire.
