Synopsis:
In 1953, the Sprit King was tracked down and condemned by the Spectre in Portsmouth. Now, violence is erupting in Portsmouth's streets, and Doctor Mid-Nite's protege Ice-Sickle is one of the victims, shot dead. Meanwhile, temporal beacons are launched, summoning help for Rick Tyler, and Mister Terrific reveals to Doctor Mid-Nite that he has no faith at all. As they talk in a Portsmouth church, the current Spectre arrives in much distress. Redemption has left him, and he has abandoned vengeance, so what function does he have? To make matters worse, the Spirit King is loose again, and he's after the Spectre.
