Synopsis:
Arriving in ancient Egypt, Hawkgirl and Mister Terrific are faced by Vandal Savage and the elementally-powered Ahk-Ton, who destroy the time cube the heroes traveled in and look as though they may also destroy the heroes, who are saved by Captain Marvel, who arrived in the past aa day or so ago. In the present, Doctor Fate is given an artifact on Gemworld, little realizing that those he spoke with there are minions of his enemy Mordru. The time-lost JSA members meet Prince Khufu, Lady Chay-Ara, Nabu and Teth-Adam, who are at war with Vandal Savage; the heroes pledge to aid them. Captain Marvel discovers some tragic truths about Teth-Adam which make him re-assess his opinion of Black Adam, the man he will become many centuries later. Soon, Chay-Ara and Hawgirl, who share a soul, see the army of Vandal Savage approaching...
