Synopsis:
Power Girl undergoes a medical prior to becoming an official JSA member; Doc Mid-Nite doubts that the origin of her powers is quite as magical as she had thought. Black Canary gives Power Girl the lowdown on the various members of the team, and Doctor Fate learns that his next step in his quest to help his wife should be to visit Gemworld. Later, at a gathering of almost all the active members of the Society, they are interrupted by the arrival of none other than Johnny Thunder, sound in both body and mind. However, when he has a few words with Jakeem alone, and persuades him to hand over the Thunderbolt, it transpires that things are not at all as they seem: Johnny is under the control of the Ultra-Humanite...
