- This is the first issue of a six issue limited series.
- Both Hugo Gernsback and Jack Williamson are based on the real-life editor and author. Williamson approved of his use in these stories.
- The appearance of The Star-Spangled Kid and Doctor Occult in this story may be artistic error. Neither hero contributes in any way to the events in this miniseries. Their before and after appearances are listed for completeness sake, but are at best doubtful.
