Synopsis: - The members of the Justice League who were present when Safe Haven was destroyed - Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, Faith and Major Disaster - are blamed for the commune's destruction and the death of all its people. And they also blame themselves. However, the other members of the JLA are not convinced, particularly when Batman and Manitou Raven uncover evidence that no-one died on the scene. Elsewhere, Scorch continues to help Martian Manhunter overcome his psychological barriers against flame and fire, while Manson prepares to receive Faith back and watch as the JLA is discredited. The Leaguers soon come under attack from Axis America, a group of metahumans under Manson's control.
