Synopsis: - The absence of combustible oxygen in the atmosphere begins to makes its effects felt as the White Martians begin to take out the members of the Justice League one by one. But help is one its way - the Martians back at their base have turned their back on J'onn for too long and he has escaped and neutralized many of the ionization towers which are affecting the atmosphere. The League then retreat to Superman's Fortress of Solitude, a little comforted that J'onn and Batman have a plan, though they can't share it as J'onn can only shield those two minds at present.
- At the Fortress they are soon overwhelmed by sheer force of numbers and are sent by Protex into the Phantom Zone. Which, it appears, is exactly what J'onn wanted to happen.
