HISTORY
The first Jack was originally one of four childhood friends of Amos Fortune. As an adult, the super-villain brought the four of them together again, dressed them up as a Royal Flush of Clubs with Fortune as the Ace and leader, and and was empowered them with "Stellaration" for luck. The team was defeated by the original Justice League of America. Later, a new Ace became the leader of the Gang, changing their symbols from from Clubs to Spades. Unfortunately, they crossed paths with the Joker, after which the team disbanded.
Unlike his fellow gang members, Jack continued as a costumed criminal, changing his name to Hi-Jack and using a hand held "card gun" shooting energized cards at his foes. During a battle among the members of the Secret Society of Super-Villains, he was sent away to an unknown dimension. Whether he has returned or not is not known, since he has made no public appearances after this battle.
