Synopsis:

Lois Lane and Batman have broken into the White House intending to steal Lex Luthor's Kryptonite ring, so that he can't use it against Superman. However, the Man of Steel himself confronts them, since breaking into the White House is a very serious activity. Using the fact that Luthor has had all the walls covered in lead paint to impede Superman's X-ray vision and installed sonic devices to impede his hearing, Batman is able to slip away. Meanwhile, Sasha Bordeaux renews a friendship with her former mentor Agent Walker; the two of them are then called in to help with the intruder alert. As Bordeaux pursues Batman, largely out of curiosity, she is confronted by Superman, and is puzzled to learn that he knows her name. Lois Lane, meanwhile, collides with her father while attempting to follow the two heroes; he is unamused by her presence.
After much ducking and diving, Batman finally retrieves the ring, only to be confronted by Luthor and numerous armed guards. He is forced to give over the ring, which does not affect Superman, obviously a fake. Lois' handbag is then searched, and found to conceal the real ring, as Superman's brief exposure to it causes him to double up in pain. Batman, Lane and Superman then leave the White House, having been given the fake ring as a reminder of their failure. However, when Lane moves to open the case containing the ring, Batman prevents her from doing so, revealing that the whole affair was an elaborate charade to get Luthor to hand over the real ring.
Meanwhile, Sasha Bordeaux, very suspicious about her employer's absence, discovers a false bottom to his suitcase, which conceals batarangs and other equipment. 'Mister Wayne, we are so going to talk...'
