HISTORY

Circa 30 B.C., the Roman Centurion Algon was the betrothed of Queen Jezeba of the African city of Ma-Phoor. When Algon was exposed to the Orb of Ra, he became Earth's second Metamorph – a "man of the element" – more than 1,000 years after his predecessor Ahk-Ton.

In recent times, Algon was resurrected by the evil (and now over 2,000 years old) Jezeba, and manipulated into murdering Wally Bannister, the husband of Sapphire Stagg. After an encounter with the modern-day metamorphs Metamorpho and Element Girl, Algon died after being trapped in an erupting volcano. Death of the Endless later confirmed that Algon was dead for real this time.
