HISTORY
Abyss was a member of the Oversight Watch, Earth President Leland McCauley's Work Force in the 31st century. He wielded the rings used by the defunct team known as the Ringers.
Later it was revealed that "McCauley" was in fact an impostor, a clone of the long-lived villain Ra's Al Ghul, and that most of the Oversight watch consisted of rogues. As Ra's was finally defeated by the Legion, the Oversight Watch surrendered. The current whereabouts of Abyss and the rings are unknown.
