HISTORY
Unlike the Sciencells utilized by the Guardians of the Universe to imprison and warehouse their foes, the Zamaron Rehabilitation Crystals are used to change those within. This is seen by some as "brainwashing" but to the Zamarons it is considered as "reigniting the embers of love" within the individual and "amplifying" the love deep inside. The individual is placed in a chrysalis state and the crystals are held on Zamaron, fueled by the Central Power Battery.
Thus far, only females have been seen within the crystals. When the transformation is successful the individual will emerge as one of the Star Sapphires. Indeed, the induction process of a Star Sapphire has similarities to the rehabilitation process, though on a much faster scale.
The time spent within the crystal will vary between individuals. Given time, the crystal can even break the power rings of other Lantern Corps, such as the Sinestro Corps and Red Lanterns.
Those placed in a rehabilitation crystal have included Sinestro Corps soldiers Fatality, Karu-Sil, Kiriazis, Kryb, and Red Lantern Bleez. Only Fatality was a successful transition as the others were interrupted prior to completion.
