HISTORY

Walter Pratt is the son of Sandra Knight and Arn Munro, otherwise known as the heroes Phantom Lady and Iron Munro. Born in a home for unwed mothers without his father's knowledge, Walter's surname became Pratt because Al Pratt (the Atom) was his mother's emergency contact, and the nurses assumed that he was the father, putting his name on the birth certificate.

A violent man, he left a trail of destruction wherever he went, eventually stabbing his wife Lydia to death in front of their infant daughter Kate. He went on to an extensive criminal career, eventually re-entering his daughter's life when he was diagnosed with blood cancer, possibly a side-effect of his energy-based meta-powers. He kidnapped his young grandson and had the boy's father tortured, but was soon killed, as he hadn't reckoned on his daughter, a possible donor, being the newest Manhunter.
