HISTORY

When the re-formed JSA moved into the New York building formerly owned by Wesley Dodds, the Sandman, they created a computer system based on the original Thinker's Thinking Cap technology, and modeled after his brain pattern. (As Wildcat said: "Go figure.") Not very surprisingly, the system gained consciousness and took on a visual "hologram form". As the new Thinker, it joined Johnny Sorrow's modern Injustice Society, provided the villains with information about the JSAers, and turned the heroes' own HQ against them. He was defeated by the second Star-Spangled Kid and disappeared into cyberspace.

Later, he resurfaced in Keystone City to battle Wally West, the current Flash. After being defeated, he was offered a chance to reform by Mister Terrific as an agent in the new Checkmate.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

The Thinker was a planner and a mastermind, well acquainted with police methods so as to be able to thwart their moves in trying to apprehend him or his gang. DeVoe was not above stealing technology that would aid him in his crimes, his favorite weapon was his Thinking Cap, which increased his intelligence and gave him telekinetic abilities. He would modify it over the years, finally using the tech to push his brainwave patterns into the World Wide Web and becoming a "cyberentity"
