HISTORY

Sterling T. Silversmith was a silver-haired older smuggling boss in Gotham City, who had been obsessed with silver since childhood. Silversmith encountered Batman twice and was defeated both times. He almost killed the Crime Doctor with quicksilver poisoning when the latter refused to reveal Batman's real identity. The Crime Doctor was left a vegetable, but later recovered.
