HISTORY
A sentient, artificially-created sun with incredible power, Solaris II will be eternal enemy of several future members of the Superman dynasty. At times re-programmed to become a force for good, Solaris always returns to his destructive ways. In the 853rd century, he had become the power source for the re-built solar System, but regained sentience and, through the time-travelling Hourman III unleashed a deadly computer virus in the 21st century. To free Earth from its threat, members of the 20th century JLA and the 853rd century Justice Legion A had to cooperate and actually cause the creation of Solaris himself in the 21st century. In the 853rd century, however, six Justice League members actually destroyed the villainous sun, thus ending the threat of the 832-century old menace, seemingly for all time.
