HISTORY

Rees-Van is one of the two Green Lanterns protecting Space Sector 567. His appearance and massive size lead many to believe he is unintelligent, but in fact Rees-Van possesses a 10th level intelligence (in comparison, Querl Dox AKA Brainiac 5 of the 31st century Legion of Super-Heroes possesses a 12th level intelligence). A noted scholar, Rees-Van specializes in the history of the Green Lantern Corps.

He has served alongside his fellow ring-wielders in the battle against the rampaging Superboy-Prime. A year later, Rees-Van fought against the Sinestro Corps, both out in space and on Earth. Having survived the war, Rees-Van is particularly concerned with rumors regarding the removal of several pages of the Book of Oa and has petitioned to have an audience with the Guardians of the Universe. Likely unbeknownst to Rees-Van, the pages were incinerated by the Guardians as they dealt with the forbidden prophecy of the Blackest Night.
