HISTORY

Private Achmed was part of the Sudanese Camel Corps, operating under Major Douglas and the Light Battalion in the Libyan Desert during World War II, mostly in company with Corporal Archie Atkins and Sergeant Jack Bailey. Achmed and company were last seen in August of 1941, when they freed the city of Benghazi (including Light Battalion) from Axis control and retaliated against Nazis in Sollum, Egypt.
