HISTORY

Corporal Archie Atkins was a desert scout with the Royal Australian Air Corps, operating under Major Douglas and the Light Battalion in the Libyan Desert. He was generally joined in fighting Nazis by Britain's Sergeant Jack Bailey and Sudan's Private Achmed – as well as a cantankerous mascot, a goat named Billy. Atkins and company were last seen in August of 1941, when they freed the city of Benghazi (including Light Battalion) from Axis control and retaliated against Nazi forces in Sollum, Egypt.
