HISTORY
Petrefax was an apprentice of Lord Klaproth, caretaker of the dead in the "living-dead" city of legend called the Necropolis Litharge. While they were temporarily trapped in one of the so-called Inns Between Worlds, Petrefax met fascinating beings from many different worlds. Intrigued, Petrefax escaped his master, and accompanied the centaur Chiron on his travels through the realms. He later parted with Chiron and, among other places, visited the magic world of Malegrise, where he helped the murdered sorceress Calcinia Smith regain her life and soul. Petrefax then resumed his long journey while continually sending records of his exploits to the angered Lord Klaproth.
