HISTORY

A surgical assistant to the Ultra-Humanite, Marten removed the brain of Dolores Winters from her body so that she would live. Though for decades it was believed Ms. Winters' brain was tossed away, in fact Marten had saved it. He was a fan of the actress and found another body to place her brain.

Using the body of a woman who had committed suicide, Marten gave Winters another chance at life. Her new face was unattractive, so Marten began a series of surgeries to make her beautiful once more. This would go on for decades, and presumably take many lives as Marten sought to please Winters, including replacing her body least once more, presumably with Winters' own daughter.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

Marten is a gifted surgeon, replicating procedures invented by Satana involving organ and even transplantation of the human brain.
