HISTORY
An Inspector in the Internal Affairs division of Gotham City's police force, Manny Esperanza is, like most I.A. officers, generally despised by his colleagues in the force. However, unlike most Internal Affairs officers, he genuinely seems to believe in his job, and the importance of maintaining standards in the department. He was responsible for Harvey Bullock leaving the Major Crimes Unit when he discovered that Bullock had arranged the death of Jordan Rich, and also investigated the possibility that Renée Montoya was involved in the deaths of Brian Selker and Marty Lipari.
