Synopsis: - Although Superman's blood is unappetizing to Crucifer, he is able to control the Man of Steel, but his young follower Nudge begins to doubt the rightness of what they are doing. Green Lantern encounters more of the Tenth Circle in Baltimore, and also meets a mysterious new group of heroes. At the JLA watchtower, Wonder Woman recognizes the symbol as that of the Tenth Circle, an ancient immortality cult which was actually a front for vampires, driven back by the Amazons many centuries ago. Before she can find a reference to the means of defeating them, Superman (still under Crucifer's control) destroys the scrolls she is consulting behind her back. Meanwhile, the Atom encounters some alien-looking beings inside Manitou Raven's seeing stones, and Batman is attacked by Detective McGuigan and members of the Tenth Circle.
