Synopsis: - Seeing Wonder Woman lying dead in a crystal casket, Flash and Green Lantern surmise that a kiss could wake her. They argue, neither wanting to do it, but are saved by Aquaman, a genuine handsome (former) prince, who is able to rouse her. They and Superman then go in search of J'onn and Plastic Man. Rescuing them from the flames of the witch's oven, they then encounter Batman, who has found the book of tales. He opens it, and the members of the League are sucked in. Here they discover that the wicked queen and Snow White are real people, but that White erased them from history into the stuff of fiction in an act of atonement for the horror which had been wrought due to the Queen's jealousy of her. But trapped in the book, the Queen was able to grow more powerful, drawing on myths, legends and fictions from across the world, hence the League seeing a variety of monsters abroad in New York.
- While they are being educated, the Queen decimates Paradise Island, Wonder Woman's home, and takes over the Wonder Dome in Washington DC. The JLA emerge, determined to fight the Queen, and are immediately confronted by some unpleasant flying nasties.
