HISTORY

The wicked witch faced by Snow White is quite real, and known as the Queen of Fables. A potent magic-user, she was trapped inside the pages of a book by Snow White, but recently escaped when the book was opened and read for the first time in many centuries. She mistook Wonder Woman for her nemesis and proceeded to attack her and her JLA colleagues, using recreations of many mythical and fictional beings. She was finally brought down by the power of truth and trapped within a book on taxes, where she seemingly could find nothing imaginative to use as a weapon.

Eventually the Queen of Fables managed to escape captivity, as she realized that a man in debt with no way to pay it is excellent at creating romantic fantasies to do just that. After escaping she came into conflict with Superman but was defeated. She later reappeared in Hollywood where she once again came into contact with Wonder Woman who beat her once more. - Action Comics #833-834, Wonder Woman Vol. 3 #24-25
