HISTORY

Itro was the last of its kind, a massive green-skinned creature which dwarfed cities on its homeworld of Shoum. The planet was shared with another unnamed species, much smaller, likely approximating humans and technologically advanced. The two species came at odds as Itros' species was devouring one of the planet's crucial natural resources. Though it as an integral part of its species die, the smaller species determined the unchecked reproduction of Itros' species and their hunger would cause a planetary collapse within a generation. Unable to find a substitute food source and with attempts at communication failed, Itros species were hunted to extinction.

Beneath Shoum's surface, Itros could hear one by one as its siblings went quiet. The sense Itros' of loss and anger drew a power ring which the creature accepted. Soon it would be known as "the city Killer" as it laid waste to Goswan, the planet's capital.

As Itros' rage drew the attention of the ring, the ring drew the attention of Atrocitus, deposed leader of the Red Lantern Corps.
