- Before Jenny Lynn-Hayden took up the Green Lantern ring, she was simply Jade. Given powers through her lineage, she lost them protecting her father. All this may be changing thanks to the scope of Kyle's (now known as Ion) new powers. But as Ion's abilities increase, the concerns over whether or not Kyle should be trusted with this ultimate power grows in all of his peers.
Synopsis:
Jade has a close-fought battle with Sonar in which the villain tries to take her ring away from her, but she responds with a knee to the crotch. She later learns more about the limits of Kyle's new power as Ion, something which Superman is also worried about. Later that day, they meet John and Merayn, and are delighted to see that John is able to walk again. The four of them go dancing, and after a thoroughly exhausting night on the town, Kyle and Jade have another heart-to-heart. After a moment where Jade worries that Kyle was responsible for John's improvement (he wasn't), she agrees to let Kyle return her powers to her and she is able to fly under her own steam for the first time in years.
