Synopsis: - Renée Montoya's life is spiraling downwards - she is drinking more, she is spending less time with Daria and she's getting into fights. She also learns that Crispus Allen has been carrying out his own investigation into Jim Corrigan's corrupt activities, doing it alone since any involvement of either Montoya or Internal Affairs would derail it entirely. Corrigan's most recent activity involves a drug deal with seized drugs being siphoned off by Detective Kenzie. However, Kenzie is tired of Corrigan leaning on him and talks to Allen, but is observed by Long and Mulcahey, both of them regularly involved with Corrigan's affairs. As Montoya finally admits to herself how badly she's going off the rails, Corrigan kills Kenzie and lures Detective Allen to the same location, shooting him in the back and ridding himself of his problem.
