Synopsis:
Alex tries to comfort his brother Javier, who is feeling awful after he allowed Max Kern to die. He is also called in by his benefactor Noah Hightower, who asks him to investigate some strange goings on at the MediChem research and development headquarters. He discovers that Dr. Stan Macklin, who was hideously deformed after an accident there, is out for revenge on his former colleague, Jordan Quick. Dressed in a snakelike suit, and calling himself Serpentine, he is dissuaded from violence by Alex in his Firebrand identity. Unfortunately, though, the MediChem security people catch him on the premises and assume he is the malefactor, knocking him through a high window.
