HISTORY

Little is known of Fentara, the Green Lantern of Graxos IV. He had one known child, a daughter, Arisia. When Fentara died, his ring was passed to his cousin Blish of neighboring planet Graxos V.

Sometime later, Blish was killed in the line of duty. It was then the Guardians continued Fentara's tradition by selecting Arisia as the new Green Lantern for Sector 2815.

Fentara was memorialized in the Crypts of the Green Lantern Corps on Oa. - Green Lantern/Sinestro Corps Secret Files #1

BLACK LANTERN: FENTARA RRAB

During the event known as the Blackest Night, black rings desecrated the Crypts. The ring placed itself upon his corpse, downloaded all of his memories and created a duplicate of his body that rose from the grave as a member of the Black Lantern Corps which stalked Arisia.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

As a Green Lantern, Fentara Rrab possessed a power ring and power battery.

GLCWP NOTE

Arisia told Hal Jordan about her father in Green Lantern Vol. 2 #212. She also mentioned that Blish was her predecessor, who Hal had met during a fight with Sinestro.

Even though it hasn't been said, I'm assuming Fentara was one of the many GLs killed by Legion prior to the events in Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn # 1. In Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn #3 Hal accesses the ring memories of sectors 2817, 2816, 2815, and 2814. In Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn #4, Tomar-Re mentions to Salakk that four GLs had been killed by Legion's rampage.

I consider Blish's death to have occurred during the Power War (Green Lantern Vol. 2 #127) when the Weaponers of Qward captured Oa. Shortly after that story, Arisia joined to fight Krona and Nekron in Tales of the Green Lantern Corps #1.
