The Empousai are the monstrous children of the ancient Greek goddess Hekate.

HISTORY

The Empousai (“she who moves on one leg”) were the monsterous children and the servants of Hekate, Greek goddess of the moon and witchcraft. In ancient times, they were feared as vampiric monsters who seduced and devoured young men and children. Their number is unknown; the only two individuals known today are Lamiai and Mormolykeia, both seemingly killed by Wonder Woman and Ares, Greek god of war.
