- This story takes place after No Man's Land (Bullock is now a Lieutenant), but before Officer Down.
Synopsis: - Batman becomes involved when Dr. Kirk (Man-Bat) Langstrom is kidnapped, the only clue being a Lewis Carroll quote (written backwards) left at the crime scene, evidently the work of the Mad Hatter, who has recently disappeared from Arkham Asylum. His psychiatrist has also gone missing and before long, the Hatter has used Langstrom's research to transform his psychiatrist into a mad beast that somewhat resembles the Jabberwock from Carroll's poem. With the help of Dr. Langstrom, Batman is able to transform the psychiatrist back to his usual self, and it transpires that the Mad Hatter's sole aim was to give the man an opportunity to see what madness is like first hand.

Synopsis: - After trying unsuccessfully to re-house the Joker's dog, Larry is forced to have it put down, just seconds before the Joker arrives on the scene, killing Larry's boss.
