Crispus Allen tries to get Alfred Pennyworth to tell him where Bruce Wayne is, but is reprimanded by Maggie Sawyer when Pennyworth complains that he's being harassed. With a helping hand from David Said, Batman tracks down Halsey's killer, one Branford J. Landis, president of the Carlysle Consulting Group. Landis injures him and gets away. When Batman shows Landis' picture to Said, he is told that it is actually a government agent called Robert Amherst, assigned to the White House. It isn't going to be easy to chase him down.
