Comment(s):
- Batman does not appear in this story, which takes place during one night. He is apparently at a campaign dinner for mayoral candidate Armand Krol.
Synopsis: - With Batman unavailable for the night, Robin is supposed to be taking the night off, but instead tries to deduce the contents of a sixty-year-old safe belonging to a former gangland boss which is being opened live on television. Meanwhile, Harold is exploring some of the passages that branch off from the Batcave, and finds himself in the Gotham subway system. Robin realizes that the safe is doubtless booby-trapped, due to the boss's obsession with the booby-trapped tombs of the Egyptian pharaohs. He and Alfred race across town so that he can save the lives of detective Roy Raymond and presenter Enrique Rivoli from the tommy gun which goes off the moment the safe door swings open.
