HISTORY

In 1882, the new Deputy US Marshal Henry Lee Jordan arrived in Coffin Springs. He knew the criminal Bloody Joe Toscano and his gang were in the area and Jordan meant to clean up the town starting with the corrupt Sheriff Duncan. Jordan and Toscano's conflict went back years as Toscano had led a raiding gang from Colorado in attacks in Kansas.

The townsfolk did not know two other enemies would loom over Coffin Springs. The alien tyrant Devlos Ungol known to the stars as Traitor but to humans as "Mr. Tor" and the Green Lantern Abin Sur. Traitor had been a benefactor to Bloody Joe Toscano and his gang. They had near mortally wounded Abin Sur as well as outnumbered and outgunned Jordan. Traitor wanted to thoroughly defeat their opponents, starting with razing Coffin Springs to the ground.

Jordan was able to hold the gang off long enough for Abin Sur to recover and return to the battle. The Green Lantern ultimately defeated Traitor and the gang. Before he returned to the stars he used his power ring to restore the heavily damaged town.
