HISTORY
William Tockman was told by a doctor that he only had six months to live. Becoming obsessed with the remaining time he had, he decided that if he was going to die, his mentally impaired sister must remain safe. He studied the timing of a bank during all of his shifts, and then donned a clock-themed costume and attempted to rob the bank. Unfortunately, Tockman tripped a silent alarm signalling Green Arrow I. He was incarcerated and his sister was placed in a state-institution where she soon died. In prison, the 'Clock King', as the media called him, realised that he wasn't going to die - his doctors had accidentally switched his files with another. Angered over the death of his sister, Tockman attacked Green Arrow for revenge, but was incarcerated again. When the Clock King's prison time was over, Tockman joined the Injustice League and fought the JLI. The group temporarily reformed, forming the Justice League Antarctica, but was short lived. After turning to a life of crime, including a brief spell as the leader of a group called the Clockwatchers, the Clock King and some of his buddies signed up for the Suicide Squad, which was offering parole. The Clock King died on the first mission.
