HISTORY

Circe is a centuries-old enchantress who is kept young by an elixir called vitae. It is made from a special combination of plants and herbs. While living on the island Aeaea, Circe gained magical powers. Circe was very skilled at turning men into any animal resembling their personality. The only person who escaped her powers was Odysseus himself. Circe heard from an oracle that the daughter of Hippolyta would be her undoing. Infuriated, Circe tried to destroy Wonder Woman, but failed. On one of her last attacks, Wonder Woman destroyed the herbs that made Circe immortal. Circe began to age normally and was last seen aiding a group of sorcerers who were trying to defeat the Anti-Monitor.
