HISTORY
A Nazi agent in World War II, the Black Assassin first encountered Commander Steel in London, February 1940, during a foiled attempt to kill Winston Churchill.
They would meet again December 30, 1941, when the Nazi agent attempted to kill Churchill once more. Outmatched by Steel and members of the All-Star Squadron, the Black Assassin tried to use his bomb-belt to take his own life and the heroes, but Steel was able to muffle the blast, and only the Assassin perished.
A follow-up assassination attempt by a Japanese operative, Kung, was also prevented by the heroes.
