Synopsis: - Arriving in Metropolis, Traci Thirteen saves Superboy's life, since the young hero has lost his powers in the wake of the sun turning red. Meanwhile, the government works on restoring Superman, badly injured, to life, also seeming to gain his unswerving loyalty as they do so. He attacks Pokolistan, and is granted access to President Luthor's "rabbit hole" where the nation's nuclear arms are kept. At this point, he turns against Luthor, revealing his true identity, Zod. He had been a victim at birth of a strange radiation, raised by the KGB, and his actions since then have been entirely geared towards destroying Superman, whom he has left in his armor, circling a red sun. Now he is free to rule.
