OVERVIEW

A-Mortal was the grimmest member of the Hyperclan, the White Martian team of conquerors who briefly posed as heroes on Earth. It appears A-Mortal and the rest of the White Martians were seemingly killed by Fernus.

HISTORY

A-Mortal was a White Martian and a member of the Hyperclan, a team of alien invaders who posed as superpowered refugees from a world destroyed by climate change caused by negligence, greed, and profiteering. The Hyperclan quickly gained the public's favor by performing heroic deeds, while secretly preparing for a Martian invasion of Earth.

However, the Justice League soon suspected that something was amiss and confronted them. During the fight, A-Mortal brought down Batman's plane, thinking the hero dead. Batman used this to his advantage and eventually defeated A-Mortal, discovering their true identities and using his knowledge of Martian weaknesses to exploit them. Exposed as White Martians, the Hyperclan's invasion plans were ultimately foiled by the Justice League. After the Hyperclan's defeat, the Martian Manhunter used his powers to wipe their minds and memories, forcing them to assume human forms.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

A-Mortal was a formidable opponent, possessing all the powers of a White Martian, including super strength, speed, invulnerability, flight, invisibility, shapeshifting, and telepathy. He was also a skilled combatant and tactician.
