HISTORY
This trio originally dressed themselves up in futuristic spaceman suits, using high-tech gadgets to become intangible and commit thefts. As the Intangibles, they were defeated by Superman, Robin I, and the Elongated Man. Years later, the trio resurfaced, now calling themselves the Untouchables and modeling themselves after 1930s criminals Bonnie Parker, Clyde Barrow, and John Dillinger. This time, they were battled and apprehended by the second Hawk & Dove team. Since then, the Untouchables have returned to face Superman among others. The Untouchables are playful show-offs, but also masterful thieves and robbers who don't hesitate to kill if there is a need. Comprised by two men and a woman, the team is constantly close to becoming a jealous love-triangle. For a while, the trio played with the idea to start calling themselves the Hole-In-The-Wall-Gang, dressing up like Butch Cassidy, Sundance Kid, and Etta Place, but that has not happened so far.
