HISTORY
- Tlaloc ('he who makes things sprout') was worshipped predominantly by the Aztecs as god of war, fire, rain, agriculture and the south, but he was also revered by the Mayans and the Toltecs before them. The Aztecs practiced human sacrifice, and Tlaloc was celebrated with the annual drowning of a large number of children.
- Eventually, the worship of other gods and the advent of Christianity forced Tlaloc into dormancy. In modern times, worshippers called upon him and other gods to create a new face for the wanted criminal Carl Talbot, but the gods double-crossed him by giving him the face of yet another wanted criminal.
